Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

TaleTuck (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is operated by Qorinx. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the TaleTuck mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your children. TaleTuck is designed for parents and guardians of children aged 2–10.

2. Data We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (via email, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In).

Child profiles

You may provide your child’s first name, age, and favourite things to personalise stories. We do not collect surnames, photos, or any other identifying information about children.

Voice recordings

If you choose to use the voice cloning feature, we record approximately 15 seconds of your voice. This recording is processed to create a voice profile used solely for narrating stories. Voice data is stored securely in EU-based servers (Cloudflare R2, europe-west region).

Usage data

We collect anonymous usage data including stories generated, app interactions, and crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry) to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To generate personalised bedtime stories for your child
  • To clone your voice for story narration (with your explicit consent)
  • To manage your subscription and account
  • To improve the Service and fix bugs
  • To send bedtime reminder notifications (if enabled by you)

AI Processing

To generate stories, your child’s first name, age, interests, and selected story theme are processed by AI models that we deploy and operate on our own cloud infrastructure. Voice cloning is performed using self-hosted open-source models. No user data is sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI). All AI inference runs on GPU instances that we provision and control.

4. Data Storage & Security

All voice data and personal information is stored on EU-based servers. We use Firebase (Google Cloud, europe-west region) for user data and Cloudflare R2 for audio files. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Voice recordings are processed using Chatterbox Turbo, an open-source, MIT-licensed text-to-speech model. Your voice data is never shared with third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, crash reporting
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management
  • Cloudflare R2: Audio file storage
  • Sentry: Error tracking
  • RunPod: GPU cloud infrastructure on which we deploy and run our own AI models for voice cloning and story generation. RunPod provides compute resources only — it does not access, process, or retain any user data.

These services process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements. Importantly, no user data is shared with any third-party AI service. All AI models are self-hosted and operated by us.

6. Children’s Privacy

TaleTuck is designed for use by parents and guardians, not directly by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only child-related data we store is the first name, age, and favourite things that a parent provides for story personalisation.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data (including voice recordings)
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for voice cloning at any time

When you delete your account, all associated data (including voice profiles, audio files in Cloudflare R2, child profiles, and Firestore records) is permanently deleted.

8. Data Retention

  • Voice enrollment recordings are deleted after the voice profile is confirmed
  • Voice profiles are kept until you delete them or your account
  • Story audio files are kept for 7 days, then re-signed on access
  • Account data is deleted upon account deletion

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
